OUR VISION

  1. NMCWatch seeks to support nurses and midwives (“registrants”), and other healthcare professionals going through Fitness to Practice investigations by their regulator.

  2. Historically this cohort have been isolated from their peers, at risk of mental health issues and deprived of being able to work in their chosen profession.

  3. Through our support we aim to build self-esteem and self-worth by sharing knowledge and experience from others who have been through the process.

  4. We aim to empower registrants to make the right choices for them and support them through their decision making process

  5. NMCWatch makes no judgement about their individual case and we are not here to allow poor practice to continue. We are committed to improving practice and workplace culture by positively encouraging registrants to reflect and improve their practice.

  6. We believe only those who can not learn from mistakes and move forward positively or pose a serious risk to public safety, should be removed from the workplace by FtP investigations and wish to promote a culture of learning rather than blame

  7. We believe that no registrant should have their human rights compromised and should be treated as innocent until proven guilty, treated fairly and treated equally to anyone supporting the NMC’s case.

  8. We believe that ALL registrants should be able to engage in the FtP process and not disengage when faced with financial hardship or lack of legal support.
